About Twilicorn: I don't like this idea. It would be perfect scenario for show's last episode, not after like 2 and half season (because that what S3 basicly is).
And after what happened on Keep Calm and Flutter On? I don't like where this is going.
I mean, it wasn't bad episode, it was Fluttershy episode for Pete's sake! How that can be any bad? But it was incredibly rushed. SUH-lestia goes straight for the Flutters. Okay, she learned lesson with Phelomena, cool. But changing Discord so quickly like that? REALLY?

I dunno what all the fuss is about. As if it wasn't obvious enuff that something like that would happen to Twi after all the preperation and tests. Also the fandom gave Hasbro tons of ideas to work with.

Personally I enjoy themes of spiritual and magickal ascension, and Twilight ascending to godhood was something I hoped to see since season 1, though I never for one second believed it to even be a possibility. Also this:

Well, to be honest only place I've seen a shitstorm over Twilicorn is MLB, EQD was rather accepting.

And at the end of the day, the show belongs to Hasbro, so they can pretty much do what they want with it, also, think about the shitstorm if they never did anything like this.

Thats the problem with this fandom especially, so much self-rigthous entitlement, its pretty annoying to be brutal, at the end of the day FiM is a tool to drive the sales of cheap plasticy toys of multi-coloured horses, pegasi and unicorns, originally at little girls, now to them and fully-grown men n women. So yeh, Twilicorn will be awesome, I'll buy a Twilicorn toy to add to my collection and to help fuel more things like this.


Because at the end of the day, when this fandom gets into a shitstorm, its fuckin hilarious, I vote for AJ Alicorn next, Princess of the Farm!

I'm not concerned about the fact that Twilight will become a demigod amongst plebeian Ponyville.
I am afraid of how they solve the story's way into that situation without complications or understatements leaving plot holes or, even worse, leaving us dumbfounded of what has really happened.

It's a diplomatic way of saying "storytelling sucks lately"

Yea, well... what bothers me: It's way too early maybe. I just hope they thought through this well and don't screw up.
Or maybe it's only temporary which I'd prefer for now.

Well, I never expect amazing novel-worthy writing from the episodes, so I guess thats me ok, unless they do sommit Michael Bay-like, then I'll be upset.

Well, for all we know, this might be the last season of FiM and possibly a new series following it (Which would be a Hasbro first, I think, unless they did it with Transformers). I doubt they will make it a temporary thing, all this build up to what? A temprory spell and then it goes back to the same last 2 seasons? I actually hope they take it somewhere different.

Remember Season 1 was a commercial aimed at little girls, look at how much it changed thanks to some people out of the target auidience watching it and saying "Hey, its pretty good!". So, dont be worried and look at it with alil more optimism, and if the Series ends and this is it, we still have the community for all my hate for it, it wont die out which is a good thing, it will out-last the show.

I'm afraid to say this, but as much as I like to see the series to go on and on, I wouldn't mind it to see it ending after another 1-2 seasons. Some series tend to change their style over time drastically and I really don't want this to happen to MLP. Or just imagine they couldn't get the same voice actor for one of the mane characters again (really, that's one of my greatest fears ).
It's better to end this on a high level some time. And it is true, look at all the fanfics, fanarts, tumblrs, etc., the community won't die out that easily.

I wanna go back to these epic threads on b from April-October 2011. I miss them most of anything in this community that is probably why I spend so much time on Imgur reading comments when not playing wot.
